Trying to blend state of the art functionality and minimalism is not something that has been known to work so harmoniously when it comes to automobiles. This Motorbike project explores the possibility and viability of a low carbon footprint solution that is modern and adaptable to the needs of an average American motorist and repacks the United States’ current diesel technologies. Instead of depending on hypothetic technological solutions that may exist sometime in the future, the project looks for viable alternatives that could radically alter our outlook on energy production and motoring.
A personal utility vehicle, the Diesel Motorbike boosts the existing diesel engine’s fuel diversity and aims at achieving a 250 mpg rating by using advanced combinations of existing technologies. Another novel dimension of the Diesel Motorbike is the fact that instead of focusing on its structure’s recyclability, the design gives precedence to quality and longevity to the bike to ensure that its owner doesn’t need to replace parts every few years and the bike can stay in good working shape longer than the currently produced models can.
