I believe I’ve told my R&R followers before that I am pursuing my career goals of an Anesthesiologist. As a child going to the doctors office never bothered me. When I had broken my arm two times that wasn’t too awful either. In fact any surgeries I has never really scared me. What I have always been petrified of were needles. To this day shots, and IV’s scare the heck out of me. I always have to look away when a doctor administers an IV or a vaccine. I always found it sort of ironic seeing as I plan on being an Anesthesiologist within a few years. Its no wonder why people are scared of needles though, especially an IV. If you don’t hit the vein the first time then the nurse retries until she finally gets it. Pretty painful! The Medical Feather is an innovative gadget that uses ultrasound technology to find the vein and mark it with a patch that helps nurses guide the needle to the right spot each time. Sounds like a great product design to me. The cooled patch helps to numb the skin so you’ll hardly feel anything. The other plus, it serves as a blinder so the patient wont actually see whats going on! Calm and happy patient makes for a less nervous doctor or nurse as well. In this way we would all benefit from this cool invention!
