The growing popularity of recycling is a good thing for society but managing four different garbage cans and separating trash everyday can be quite a task. Moreover, things get even more difficult in compact homes as the four bins can take up quite a lot of space in the closed in living area. This has turned out to be quite a pressing problem in Spain, especially in the small sized new structures that are coming up. A savvy design is thus crafted for these homes.
The design essentially packs four different bins into one trash can with each of them slotted above each other. The four different compartments are for wet trash, metal, glass and paper products. All the four bins have different colors so that users can identify which type of trash has to be thrown inside. Glass has to be dumped inside the topmost compartment while the lowermost is for paper. So, children can also use the bin safely. The bins are detachable and lightweight, which facilitates cleaning as well as garbage disposal.
Handling the garbage can is a snap. The four bins are attached to a vertical rod. The bin on top has a lid while the others can be opened by rotating them around the axis of the rod. They glide out from under the bin placed on top and their opening is free for you to throw trash inside. To open all four bins at the same time, just station them at different points around the rod. The exterior of the bin is simple, trendy and playful as they are designed for young Spanish families.
