Even though it’s not safe to yank out the electric cord when you want to unplug an device from the wall, it seems to me that everyone does it. To be totally honest I do it all the time, but we all know how dangerous it is! The only reason we keep on doing this is simply due to the convenience. Obviously there are some things that people will never learn and sadly this is probably one of them. However a designer has come up with an invention to solve this problem, sort of. Pull Lightly is a new product design that consists of a plug and a pull-activated switch that is mounted inside the plug. How this really works is when you pull on the wire the switch is shut off. To gain power you have to push the plug back in. Interesting and very cool invention. Of course this doesn’t solve the yanking on the cord problem, but I suppose it makes it a bit safer!
