Flowers open their petals to allow sunshine in, so why not have a lamp that open to allow light out? In making a flower-themed lamp that goes beyond aesthetic, designer Constantin Bolimond has created the BLOOM lamp, a beautiful pendant lamp with petals that open and close to constrict or let out the light.

Flower shaped lamps are a lovely way to bring a bit of nature into your home, and come in a variety of sizes from the table top size like the Zoli Flower Lamp from Seventh Avenue, to the much taller Bronze Windance Floral Floor Lamp from Home Depot. BLOOM is specifically a ceiling lamp, like the Parisian Flower light from Lamps Plus, designed to hang as an upside-down flower.

BLOOM is unique in its design, with petal pieces that open or close depending on your lighting needs. This mimics the natural opening and closing of a flower’s petals, as well as changes the room lighting depending on your needs and wants.

Currently in the design stage, we hope to see it blossom into a product!
