I had no idea, but 50% of children born in the world from ages 0-4 end up dying, usually by dehydration due to diarrhea. Pretty crazy statistic. These poor countries have no way of receiving medical attention, therefore the children end up dying from something that is actually easily preventable. This designer has come up with a product design to help extract acacia gum from the Acacia Senegal tree. This gum helps stop diarrhea which means children now have a chance at life! The African Wrench is basically a tool that is inserted into the tree, extracting the gum to give to children in need!
