B-Safe: Distress radio beacons, also known as emergency beacons, ELT or EPIRB, are tracking transmitters which aid in the detection and location of boats, aircraft, and people in distress. Strictly, they are radio beacons that interface with worldwide offered service of Cospas-Sarsat, the international satellite system for search and rescue (SAR). When automatically activated upon watering, such beacons send out a distress signal. The signals are worldwide monitored and the locations detected by non-geostationary satellites, can be located by trilateration in combination with triangulation, respecting the varying quality of the signal received. B-Safe is a 'state of the art' enclosed satellite distress beacon designed to operate in conjunction with the COSPAS-SARSAT International Satellite Search and Rescue System. Designed to meet the most demanding regulatory approvals the B-Safe is a Class 2, Category 1 EPIRB in a fully enclosed float free housing that will release the beacon at a certain depth, the beacon will then automatically activate. The B-Safe now offers commercial vessel operators the same GME performance and value enjoyed by recreational boaters. A key feature of this series is the use of non-hazardous battery packs that are IATA compliant and allow for restriction free transportation.

• Sealed construction allows PLB to be immersed to 33 ft.

• Built-in 50-channel GPS with ceramic patch antenna includes your coordinates in the emergency satellite transmission to identify your exact position
• Signal identifies your unique PLB and gives Search and Rescue the owner's data
• Simultaneously transmits a 121.5MHz homing signal to help rescuers speed up the local response time
• Once activated, the signals will continue to transmit for at least 24 hours.
